Visual Production Associate - Aurora, NY
Be creative, innovative and imaginative through execution of visual merchandising challenges. Produce quality work in a consistent, timely, and organized manner. Assist in development and assembly of displays and selling fixtures. Assist in executing furniture and fixture layouts. Assist in visual merchandising daily in the Aurora shop. Requires an artist with institutional knowledge of MacKenzie-Childs designs, including the skill set to paint signature patterns and styles (e.g. Courtly Checks, marble, etc.), basic fabrication skills including working with hand tools, the ability to read and execute plans and diagrams, and the ability to work as part of a team or independently with little direct supervision. Must be highly organized with an attention to detail. Position may include frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and the use of ladders and other equipment.
Kiln Worker - Part Time - Aurora, NY
Load and unload kilns, learning proper handling of ware, kiln process control standards and programming. Attention to detail, organization, efficiency and self motivation are key to ensuring successful kiln firings. Repetitive movement and lifting of materials/product weighing upwards of 20 lbs required. Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Textiles - Aurora, NY
Upholster and sew piecework in our Textiles department. Experience with sewing or upholstery work preferred, but will train on the job. Experience with crafts or handwork helpful. Ability to use hand tools essential. Requires attention to detail, listening and following directions and the ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. using proper lifting technique. Must be able to stand for long periods and pull and staple fabric frequently. Position requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent.
Shipping and Receiving – Union Springs, NY
Assist in unloading import containers and loading of outbound trucks. Requires lifting of larger cartons and items weighing 50 pounds or more, frequently. Must be organized and pay attention to shipping details. Position requires a H.S. diploma or equivalent. Frequent use of hand truck required.
Benefits Administrator - Aurora, NY
Daily administration of benefits for new employees, terminations, rate changes and changes in elections. Research employee questions and issues delivering excellent customer service to the employees. Reconciliation and payment of monthly insurance bills. Prepare and manage COBRA notifications and payments. Process and manage disability claims. File workers comp claims supplying all supporting information. Requires a dependable highly organized individual with superior attention to detail. Previous payroll accounting or employee benefit experience preferred.
Pottery Decoration - Aurora, NY
Work with supervisor, trainer and quality control to achieve quality decorated pottery in an efficient manner, recognizing harmony in color and proportion. Must possess good brush skills as well as the ability to work with different mediums. Position requires attention to detail and a willingness and desire to accept and learn from others. Requires a positive attitude, and the flexibility to train in various pottery decoration departments. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. while using proper lifting techniques, sit for long periods of time and bend and reach for objects often. Requires a High School diploma or GED.
Groundsworkers – Temporary/Seasonal – Aurora, NY
Seasonal Grounds workers needed to work weeding and maintaining flower beds and lawns for the summer season at MacKenzie-Childs. Work is outdoors and physical. Must be willing to follow directions, be dependable and work well as a member of a team. Flexibility in scheduling is required as weather or events sometimes dictate work assignments.
Barn Sale Prep Workers – Temporary/Seasonal – Aurora, NY
Seasonal help needed working unpacking and ticketing merchandise for the annual barn sale. Work is physical, in un-air-conditioned barn. Must be willing to follow instructions and work well as a member of a team. Flexibility in scheduling required, we work when there is product to be processed. Hours are normal day time hours usually 8:00a -4:30 pm. Temporary Barn Sale Prep Workers do not receive employee privileges or gain the opportunity to shop the sale beforehand.
