Handsome from any distance, the elaborate splendor of our Cheltenham Scone, emerges upon closer inspection. Hand-painted onto a kiln-fired clay silhouette, the palette of Courtly Checks incorporates a dash of rich jewel tones into each brushstroke. Likewise, faux marble is a multi-colored, many layered creation. After texturing hues of blues, greens, violets and yellows with natural sea sponges, artisans use tools as unconventional as bird feathers to sculpt the veins that give marble its unmistakable cast. Our elegant Cheltenham Sconce, complete with solid cast brass candle arms, candle sleeves, a crimped brass bead and a vibrant ombre silk tassel, seems to be taken from the walls of a storybook castle.
