What is trulyMC?
trulyMC is our customer loyalty and rewards program (the “Program”), which entitles members of the Program (“Members”) to special rewards and perks.
How do I join trulyMC?
If you have placed orders with us and already have an account on mackenzie-childs.com, log in at mackenzie-childs.com/account and click the opt-in check box above the “log in” button to join trulyMC. If you’re new to our site, create an account at mackenzie-childs.com/account and check the opt-in box above the “submit” button to join. When you arrive at your dashboard, you will see links in the sidebar for the Loyalty Program Dashboard. You must submit your birthday (month and day) and check the box to agree to the terms of the program in order to complete your enrollment. Once you do, you will receive an email welcoming you to the program and you will be able to view your dashboard; if you do not see either of these things, you must submit your birthday and agree to the terms to finish signing up.
Is there a fee to join trulyMC?
No—it’s entirely complimentary! You simply have to create an online account on mackenzie-childs.com (or opt in to the program using your existing account) to be eligible to join trulyMC.
How do I earn points?
It’s easy! You earn one point for every dollar spent on orders placed at mackenzie-childs.com; by phone through our customer service department; or in our retail stores in Aurora, New York City, and Waterloo. You will receive your Loyalty Points when the item ships, or when you complete your purchase in our stores. This means that if an item is on backorder, Loyalty Points will not be reflected until the item is shipped.
In addition, you can earn points for:
- Signing up for our email updates (five points, one time only)
- Following us on Facebook (five points, one time only)
- Following us on Instagram (five points, one time only)
- Following us on Pinterest (five points, one time only)
- Following us on Twitter (five points, one time only)
- Following us on YouTube (five points, one time only)
- Referring a friend to trulyMC and making a purchase (25 points for each referral who signs up for trulyMC and makes a purchase)
Use the links in the footer (at the bottom of every page on our site) to sign up for email and follow us on social networks. If you already get our emails or follow us, you can resubmit using those links and earn five points each. Learn more about the refer-a-friend program here (you must be logged in as a trulyMC Member to view this link) or use the links on any product page to share that product with a friend.
Loyalty Points are not earned for dollars spent on tax or shipping; purchasing gift cards; for purchases made at special events including, but not limited to, the Barn Sale, Sample Sale or Warehouse Sale; nor for purchases made in other locations that carry MacKenzie-Childs products such as Neiman Marcus, Williams-Sonoma or independent gift shops.
Do my points expire?
Yes, we have a 365-day point expiration from your anniversary date, which is the date you signed up for the program. At the end of your first year, your points will reset to zero, but you will remain in the tier that you reached in your first year for the entirety of your second year, and keep those benefits (such as the free shipping threshold). At the end of the second year, your tier for the third year will be based on your points earned in the second year only, and so forth. During the year, you can move up in tiers, but you will not drop below the tier you reached at the end of the previous year for the entirety of that year. However, if, by your anniversary date, you have earned a lower number of points than the tier you were in all year, you may drop to a lower tier based on your point total for that year. Similarly, your annual gift (for higher tiers) is based upon your point total for the year, not necessarily the tier you were in all year.
For example, if you earned 1000 points in your first year, you would reach the chartreuse tier and receive an annual gift on your first anniversary date. In your second year, you would keep the benefits of the chartreuse tier until your next anniversary. If you only earned 50 points in your second year, you would move to the plum tier on your next anniversary date and would not receive an annual gift, since that tier does not qualify for one, even though you enjoyed chartreuse-tier benefits all year. But if you earned 2500 points during your second year, you would move up to the gold tier immediately and enjoy those benefits and that annual gift, and remain in the gold tier in the following year.
Am I missing points from previous purchases?
When you opt in to join trulyMC is when you start earning points. Purchases made before joining the program do not count toward your total. If you feel something is missing, please contact our customer service department at email@example.com.
What are the different tiers and benefits?
There are different tiers to trulyMC that indicate the level of benefits you receive for the corresponding tier. You can review these tier-based benefits at mackenzie-childs.com/trulyMC.
How do I know if I qualify for the next membership tier?
You can log into your Loyalty Program Dashboard at any time to see your membership tier level. You will also receive an email from us when you’re close to the next tier, and another congratulating you when you progress from one tier to the next.
Will I receive a membership card?
No, everything is digital. If you make a purchase in one of our retail stores or by phone, the associate will look up your account using the same email address that you use to log in on this site.
How can I view my account summary?
You will be emailed an account summary monthly. In addition, you can log in and view the Loyalty Program Dashboard to check out your points, rewards, and history. You can navigate to the Loyalty Program Dashboard after logging in at mackenzie-childs.com/account.
When will I get, and how do I use, my rewards coupons?
Your rewards coupons will be emailed to you when you earn them. You will receive a coupon for 10% off your first order as a trulyMC Member shortly after signing up, and you will receive 10% off for your birthday emailed to you on the birthdate you provide when you sign up. Other coupons available to some tiers, such as free freight shipping, will be emailed to you when your points reach that status level, and again on your anniversary date of joining the program. In addition, you can log in and view the Loyalty Program Dashboard to check out the rewards you have available. You can navigate to the Loyalty Program Dashboard after logging in at mackenzie-childs.com/account. Expiration dates will be provided both in the email and on your Loyalty Program Dashboard. To activate your reward, enter the coupon code during checkout on mackenzie-childs.com; read the coupon code to the representative if you are placing an order by phone; or show the coupon to an associate when you check out in one of our stores. Coupons may only be used once and are not transferable. Coupons of different types may be used at the same time (such as 10% order discount and free freight shipping), but coupons of the same type cannot be combined (using a 10% off first purchase coupon and a 10% birthday discount coupon will not combine into a 20% discount). Discounts do not apply to tax or shipping, or purchases of gift cards. Discounts and coupons also cannot be used at special events including, but not limited to, the Barn Sale, Sample Sale or Warehouse Sale; nor in other locations that carry MacKenzie-Childs products such as Neiman Marcus, Williams-Sonoma, Saks Fifth Avenue, Evine or independent gift shops.
Can I opt out of emails?
Can I opt out of trulyMC entirely?
If you have an account on our site and never click the check box to join, you will not be a Member of the Loyalty Program and you will not earn Loyalty Points or rewards. If you have joined and feel you must opt out, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. Once this process is complete, you will lose all your Loyalty Points and they will not be recoverable. If you choose to opt back in later, your Loyalty Points will start over at zero, and you will not be eligible for another coupon for 10% off your first purchase as a Member.
What happens when I cancel an order or return an item?
Loyalty Points earned by purchasing a product that is later returned or canceled must be revoked.
If I receive a gift as a reward for the tier I’ve reached, can I return it?
Annual gifts cannot be refunded or exchanged. No substitutions are allowed.
