Rebecca joined MacKenzie-Childs in 1998, drawn by a desire to do something creative. She always has been one of our painters, first in furniture decoration, and now in pottery decoration. For several years, Rebecca has been painting ceramic pieces in The Shop in Aurora, giving visitors the opportunity to see up-close how they are decorated. She knows all our ceramic patterns and her favorite one to paint, she says, is King Ferry, a now retired Taylor ceramic pattern that mixes florals, scallops, and checks. Rebecca also answers lots of questions from visitors about painting techniques and hears many stories about the love of our ceramic products. When she isn’t painting in The Shop, Rebecca preps and organizes products for our two annual event sales, including the Barn Sale. That role expands, of course, in the spring as those sales draw closer.
