Rebecca's Notebook: A few of my favorite things

Any of my friends will tell you that I get very enthusiastic over things I’m crazy about. They’ll also tell you that I tend to gush about things that I really, really like. But the truth is, I rarely just like something; if I like it, I usually love it. I love early mornings when the rest of the family is still asleep. I love wet dogs. I love getting handwritten letters. I love old photographs and my boxes of leftover ribbon scraps and mismatched buttons. I love food. I love birds. I love loose tea, and I love my tea tied in a little cotton bundle instead of paper. I love fountain pens and the smell of wool...I could go on and on. There are many things I really love — things that resonate, things that make each day meaningful. And every time I encounter one, I always say, “that is my favorite thing.”

Our Home Fragrance collection certainly makes the list. Each candle is exquisitely scented, perfectly poured into an elegant frosted glass vessel, then embellished with ribbon, a hand-painted Courtly Check® enamel button, filigree and a brass mesh rose. The diffusers are wonderful as well, and serve to float the delicate but captivating scents throughout your home. Given our love for packaging and tying everything up in bundles, you can believe the boxes are beautiful too.

The development of the four scents was, for me, a memorable experience. Over the course of several months we worked with an exceptional creator of fragrance whose expertise and profound abilities helped us capture the notes which we believe convey the essence of MacKenzie-Childs.

The four scents each have their own distinctive message.
