COVID-19 guidelines:

  • For the safety of our guests and staff, all visitors must follow these guidelines while shopping at the event.
  • Masks are required from the time you exit your car to the time you re-enter your car. Face masks that cover your nose and mouth are always required on the grounds during your potential wait in line and while shopping in the store.
  • Per New York State guidelines, we will be limiting the number of guests to 200 people allowed to queue in line throughout the duration of the sale. If the line is at maximum capacity, we will ask you to please stay in your car until space is available.
  • Also in accordance with state mandates, we will be limiting shopping time to one hour, as well as the number of guests shopping in the store each hour. Fifteen minutes prior to the end of each hour, we will be asking for customers to make their final purchase and exit the store so that we can follow proper sanitation protocols.
  • Please adhere to social distance markers while in line and while shopping in the store.
  • No shopping carts will be provided or permitted during the sale event due to COVID-19 spacing restrictions.
  • Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the store for your safety.
  • We recommend you leave infants and young children at home because it may be cold outside during the sale, with little to no shelter available when standing in line. We rely on our shoppers to use their best judgment for their own health and comfort and remind them that no sale is worth endangering their health and safety.
  • No pets (outside service animals only) will be allowed on the grounds during the sale event.
  • Failure to follow our COVID-19 guidelines may result in being asked to leave the MacKenzie-Childs premises.

The line:

  • For each day of the sale, the line will begin no sooner than 8 am (one hour before the store opens). Please do not arrive earlier; early arrivals will not be allowed to park prior to this time.
  • In accordance with statewide COVID-19 guidelines, we will be limiting the number of guests to 200 people allowed to queue in line at any time throughout the duration of the sale. If the line is at maximum capacity, we will ask you to please stay in your car until space is available.
  • We will mark 6' spacing with ribbon in the line to maintain social distancing while awaiting entrance into the sale. We ask people to please be courteous of others and adhere to proper social distancing.
  • Wait times to get into the sale and at checkout may fluctuate throughout the sale. We are unable to predict how long they will be or are, and will do our best to ensure we are adhering to scheduled shopping times.
  • There are no exceptions for “skipping the line,” including (but not limited to) pregnant women, elderly persons or those in recovering health. We rely on our shoppers to use their best judgment for their own health and comfort, and remind them that no sale is worth endangering their health and safety.
  • Handicapped parking is available by showing your permit at the gate. All additional parking spaces will be escorted by parking attendants.

The sale:

  • All sales are final. No returns will be accepted on these items. No exceptions will be made.
  • We will not be able to honor any additional coupons, discounts or promotions, including (but not limited to) coupons for a percentage off your purchase, during the sale.
  • Aurora Sale purchases are applicable to our trulyMC loyalty program (points will be awarded). However, trulyMC loyalty rewards cannot be redeemed at the Warehouse Sale. Please let your cashier know your email address to capture your points.
  • Forms of payment accepted are cash, and credit cards, and MacKenzie-Childs gift cards. No personal checks will be accepted.
  • The Aurora Sale inventory is mainly first-quality products and floor-model products. We strongly recommend that you inspect your purchases carefully for possible defects as all sales are final and items cannot be returned. It is the customer’s responsibility (not MacKenzie-Childs’) to check over products for any undesirable qualities prior to purchase.
  • No price adjustments will be made for purchases made prior to the sale event. If you purchased an item prior to this sale, that means it was not part of the Aurora Sale stock, therefore the sale price cannot be applied.
  • This sale is on Aurora Shop inventory only, and the special pricing offered there does not apply to any other locations, nor our website.
  • Products will be restocked continually throughout the sale, but inventory will not be replenished once the item is no longer available in the Shop.
  • Items are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have seen an item before and it is now no longer available, that means the store inventory is sold out, and that item is no longer available at the sale price. These items are an entirely separate and limited inventory from our regular items.
  • We do not know or guarantee what will be offered during the Aurora Sale, product- or inventory-wise, prior to or during the sale.
  • We will be unable to hold any merchandise during the sale. Each customer will be responsible for their own product before and after checkout.
  • MacKenzie-Childs reserves the right to cap multiple purchases of a single product at the time of checkout without prior notice.
  • Shipping options are not available. All items must be taken that day. This includes all furniture purchases and oversized items. Please plan accordingly if you choose to take part in discounted furniture deals. We are unable to provide any form of transportation of oversized or furniture items. In addition, we will not be able to hold any purchases made during the sale event.
  • MacKenzie-Childs is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items. There will be a “lost & found” area at the sale; please see a staff member for assistance.
  • This is an in-person sale event that cannot be shopped online or over the phone. Starting on March 25, 2021, we will not be able to accept any email or phone orders. Due to the influx of in-store customers during this time, the Aurora store will also not be accepting any inbound emails or phone calls. Communications will resume in early May when the new outlet store opens.
  • The Aurora store will no longer be offering gift wrapping and/or boxes as a service or for purchases as of March 25. In addition, we will not be using our traditional shopping bags and will be transitioning to a new design with the opening of the outlet store.
