Fresh and fun spring 2020
January 28, 2020
Spring doesn’t officially arrive until March 19, but we’re springing ahead, nonetheless. In fact, our spring 2020 collection is online now.
Here are some of the new items that are sure to be fresh and fun additions.
We’re introducing two new indoor furniture collections. Bluetopia will make you blissful about blue and all its interesting shades and combinations. The collection’s furniture mixes carved classic frames, often embellished with hand-painting, with blue fabrics in solids and prints. We’ve also taken a deep dive into elegant blue accent pieces with new rugs, pillows, and lighting that complement the collection.
Our Super Pink collection will have you thinking pink. Fun and fantastic, playful and powerful, Super Pink makes a bold style statement with its happy approach to furniture, lighting, and more. Its shapely silhouettes feature dotted and striped fabrics, and its accent pieces will add a dash of delight and a bit of daring to your interiors. We’re sure Super Pink will tickle you pink, too.
Also new is our Musical Chairs seating, which strikes all the right notes. At home in the kitchen, entry or just about anywhere you want to pull up a comfortable seat, these versatile pieces are inspired by classic Midcentury Modern design. They’re made of European beechwood with a milky finish that shows the wood grain, and they feature applied vinyl dots on their spindle backs.
There are also additions to our outdoor furniture, and some pieces are so stylish that you’ll want to bring them indoors, too. Our Check Outdoor Fish Furniture features our favorite fish motifs on chairs and bar stools, with cushions upholstered in weather-resistant fabric printed with our signature checks.
Our Zanzibar Outdoor Furniture mixes the lavish, curving lines of classic rococo furniture with the surprise of chartreuse, plus our signature black and white, to make a statement of style like no other. And finally, our Breezy Poppy Outdoor collection is a new coloration of our Courtyard Outdoor collection. It features a brightly bold geometric pattern of pink, white, chartreuse, and salmon handwoven resin wicker wrapped on sturdy frames. And speaking of outdoors, check out our new Weather or Not pillows, which are designed to be indoors or outdoors and are treated with a water-resistant finish that also resists fading from sunlight.
Dinnerware and enamelware
Our newest porcelain collection is SoHo, which sets a mood for modern. A marriage of handmade tradition and technological innovation, SoHo mixes matte and glossy finishes with relief and texture. Crafted in Portugal, each piece has a unique pattern created by random drops of wax that burn off during firing. Then, our signature touches of gold lustre are hand-applied, making each item its own work of art.
We’ve also added more Royal Check pieces to our enamelware collection, as well as a new play on an old favorite with our Lapis Flower Market, which mixes and matches with Courtly Check, Royal Check, and, of course, our other Flower Market pieces. All of these new pieces are just perfect to adding even more color to The Entertaining Kitchen.
Hippity, hoppity—Easter will be here before you know it. We have lots of ways to set a colorful table for the occasion and freshen up your spring decor. Our Dotty group of ceramic table pieces features cute bunnies and is decorated with watercolor-inspired dots. We also draw on vintage themes with our Pastel Confections collection and our Macaron bunnies and chicks, which are colored with soft pastels and accented with touches of gold. Finally, Patience Brewster by MacKenzie-Childs has even more sweet bunnies featured on table accents, ornaments, and more.
We’ve added to our wallpaper collection with some designs that will make quite a statement. Our Avant-Garden patterns mix bold florals in neutral colors that have a metallic sheen. More colorful are wallpapers with our Flower Market dinnerware patterns that have either black or Courtly Check backgrounds.
Flower Market lends itself to three-dimensional wall decor, too. Available in blue, aqua, and green, Flower Market Wall Art makes quite a colorful statement on your walls.
As soon as you can get outdoors, we have new ways to decorate the garden. We’re especially fond of the new Aurora Artisanal ceramic garden planters, which include rabbits, frogs, and fishes, and are made right here in Aurora, New York.
You can welcome the return of birds and peepers with two bird feeders decorated with some of our Taylor ceramic patterns and several pieces that feature frogs, including the Frog Trellis, a Frog Hide-A-Key, and a Lily Pad Frog.
Our garden also includes a variety of Courtly Check Flower Stems, taking natural-looking petals from all sorts of flowers and mixing them with Courtly Check. Look for hollyhocks, hydrangeas, cosmos, morning glories, cherry blossoms, and more.
Finally, let’s give winter the boot and kick up our heels for spring. We have two new boot designs, Courtly Check Chelsea Boots and Flower Market Rain Boots. Both are the perfect pairing of fashion and function and are made of premium rubber with slip-resistant soles and a moisture-wicking lining. They also pull off and on easily, thanks to a sturdy tab on the shorter Courtly Check Chelsea Boots and a zipper on the taller Flower Market Rain Boots. We know these will be very popular, so don’t miss out.
